Re: Riding on a beach

You can get on Weston or Brean. Both have speed limits on and the rules of the road still apply. The cops do turn and prosecute anyone messing about on them.

I use to run Conti Race Attack Endurance on mine. Fairly well priced and easy to get hold of.Everyone has favourites though.

Re: Considering buying a ktm690smr

Had a 2016 690 SMCR before my current 2015 1290SDR. If I didn't have a bike and you put the two together and said choose one......... It would be the 690 SMCR! Had more fun on that than 90 % of my other bikes, even if my ass was numb after 40 miles. Cheap to run (60MPG wringing its neck), hardly eve...

Re: Bike advice

I've had a couple of 950SM's. Fantastically smooth bikes to ride and about the right sort of BHP V weight for hooning around lanes on. Great brakes and handling if you get it set up right. Getting on in years now (last ones built 2007 / registered 2011)and some bits no longer being listed by KTM. Al...

Re: The next saga of my biking journey

Most fun and most loved bikes was a sorted 100bhp KTM 950 SM and my 690 SMCR with about 70bhp. Probabably would still have the 690 if it was more comfortable than sitting astride a 5 bar gate for hours on end.As Ruffian said, go in with a complete open mind and something may take you by surprise. I ...

Re: Can I Buy A Hayabusa If I’m A Beginner

It's registered as a Warrior 125cc, if real it was pushed there - notice no final drive. FM 03 ONA comes back as 'no details found' with the DVLA. Completely wrong year I would of thought for any of the donor bits on there anyway. 16 x kawasaki kh250 triple engines cobbled together plus a donkey en...

Re: E10 fuel and us.

Most plastic tanks already swelling with the current ethanol content. My KTM 950 SM was about an inch out on the rearward most mounting point. Use to have to use a large pry bar and get the bolt in quick. A lot of Ducrapis already having the same problem

Spoke to Clifton Cobblers in Bristol and they're confident that they can do them. Quoted 15 quid to do them.

COBBLERS TO RESOLE SIDIS?

Anybody had their Sidi's resoled recently and can recommend a cobbler? Took my boots and new soles to my local one and he wasn't keen on doing them due to the plastic bits on the uppers around the heel area. He did say Timpsons was probably a waste of time too as they like doing even less. Any thoug...
