Re: Fab work
It’s a shame as the rest of the bike has been built really quite well.

Re: Vans
I’m booked in with Superchips who it seems like many of these places complete a simple plug and play map. Looking forward to seeing the difference

Scottish NC500
Has anyone ridden the North Coast 500 ? I’m looking to go up towards the end of May but unsure how many days it’ll take. I don’t intend to race round but I’ve read different accounts of some taking anything from a single day to a week. I’ve toured Europe in the past, but the roads were pretty easy g...

Re: Idle hands in lockdown
Swingarm almost grafted to the frame, quite a bit of machining, measuring and re-measuring. Next stage, dog bones, what length ad how to attach them to the swingarm

Re: Vans
I’ve bought myself a Merc Sprinter to cart my bikes about. Love driving it but with the 313 engine it’s a little asthmatic!
Has anyone had their van remapped, did it make a difference or is it likely to become a ticking time bomb ?

Re: Idle hands in lockdown
It was all fun, but at the same time frustrating. Enjoyed endurance racing when it used to be 6 hours, very much a team effort. My last full season was in 2010, it was a massive effort and by the end a financial burden, but came away with a bunch of plastic pots and a title. I raced 400’s and 600’s,...

Idle hands in lockdown
So the idea was a return to racing for 2021, nothing too serious and opted for a Minitwin class, this soon changed to Supertwin as it provides a little more freedom to fettle with the bike. So far I’ve been able to turn a reasonably sorted svr650 into bike confetti. The idea, to strip all the bearin...

Re: Long distance commuter
Cheers for the feedback all. I think there are options available, the sticky point is cruise control as even bikes such as the Z1000sx have only just received this as standard. My Deauville is being collected this Saturday and hopefully looking at an option either Sunday/Monday, a Triumph 1200 Explo...

Long distance commuter
It’s been a while since I last posted I’m looking to change my work bike. I regularly travel into the centre of London and have found the best way to commute from S’Wales rather than train or car is by bike, ease of getting around the city just makes it a no brainier. My current hack is a Deauville,...

Re: Heated Grips
Couple of years back I took a bit of time out and did some motorcycle couriering, this unfortunately coincided with the winter weather. I decided if I was going to do it I want to make sure I was bloody warm. The kit I bought was great it was just my hands I had a problem with. I tried mitten gloves...
