After some tinker time last night Dave has kindly pointed out that I have no ignition control box thingy >.< so eBay it is to get one ordered, plugged in and hopefully I will get some 'sparkles' big thanks to Matt for his Haines help and correct diagnosis of 'its broke'

Battery is fine Dave is coming to take a look tomorrow so will whip the tank off and have a fiddle. But in answer to your question, I get lights on the dash and a whirring from what I think is the fuel pump...comes from the black round lump near the suspension and then it turns over and over and ove...
