Re: Classed as new rider!

Is it you that's uninsurable, or the modifications to the bike?
Try and get a quote for a stock bike, even with no no claims I expect it will be half.

Re: Advice please - lightweight tourer?

I had a BMW 650 a few years ago for commuting, it was a bit vibey (which you'd expect for a single) but 80 was about it, and that was just me with a top box. you had to thrash it to make any progress. I liked it, but I wouldn't want to do a long trip 2 up on one. What about the Beemer 800 twin, they...

Re: Fourth Dimension Insurance Repairs

They dealt with my zx6r when I had an accident a few years ago, wrote it off and the buy back figure was way too high.
to be fair the process was quick and easy, and the payout was about right.
If it hadn't been a write off though I'd have wanted a local repairer.

Re: Not agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain !

On the bright side, its his insurance that'll get hammered, if I were you I'd be onto my insurance company for a loan bike, and ringing dealers for test rides. Unless of course you're emotionally attached to your bike, in which case wot Billy said.

Re: Get well soon Kata

No I'm right handed, but surprised by how much you rely on having the other one, I'm just having some toast, can't have butter because I can't grip the dish  I drove home changing gear with my good arm, and went to Musgrove for treatment (I knew they wouldn't let me drive if I'd gone to the lo...

Re: brake upgrades for z750 2012

What are you planning for the rear?
I've ridden a standard one on track and the back was far worse than the front. There's almost no damping at all on the standard shock, and very little travel.
