I can normally work it out by bike manufacturer. KTMs for example....

First thing I did after buying my FJR was to get the FJR club to check the rear suspension bushes. FJRs are notorious for them seizing up due to Bike shops not doing them.
Sure enough it had never been done even with a full service history.

Yeah I saw that. It's not the clothing he's getting at, it's the low performance of the armour by design and the economical effect of setting a poor standard.
