Re: Friendly Ride - sun 24th Aug - ROUTE POSTED
Best guess as to what time we'll finish? I really wanna join but need to be back in Tiv for ~5pm.
Re: RTTB 14
Looks like it was a good day, I couldn't make it in the end unfortunately due to some much needed mountain bike repairs before taking it to Wales next weekend.

Re: Lean Angle & Counter Steering
If you can put up with the cringeworthy acting (funny at first, but gets old fast) there's some great info in Twist of the Wrist II. And as luck would have it, I have a YouTube link http://youtu.be/Vr-Wqs37Ug4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: My accident
Mirrors optional on PO vans now...?? Very true. But, there is a sticker often seen on the back of lorries .... "If you can't see my mirrors, I can't see you" ...... From the moment Wubwub stopped, could you see the vans mirrors? Yup. You can't see it in the video because the camer...

Yup, Monks Rd, it's a nightmare. I went for the horn but in my panic missed the button! I swear that little bugger moves when you need it.TLS-Moose wrote:Monks Rd?
Out of interest, does your horn not work? Might have been more audible than revving the engine .......
Glad the bike is all sorted now though

Cheap Action Camera
Thought this might be useful for anyone that fancies a camera but doesn't want to fork out £200+ for one. https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/thursday-15th-may/product-detail/ps/p/action-camcorder-ac-500-touch/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Probably not up to GoPro stand...

Re: Scorpio Ride GPS Tracker/Shock Sensor
It's over $200 and then 12 a month, which is pretty steep. It's not just a ride tracker though, it senses shocks and alerts you on your phone, and should someone make off with your bike you can track its position.

Scorpio Ride GPS Tracker/Shock Sensor
Anyone used one of these?

Thinking of adding one to my bike after a few things around my area have gone missing recently. Plus it has some pretty cool logging features.

Re: video editing software
I have Adobe Premier Pro that I got from...a place ...it's a little hard to understand at first, but really powerful once you get your head around the workflow (there's loads of free tutorials online).

Re: Got reversed into
My insurance company are going to pick it up and assess the damage, then claim from their insurance, or something. Impact wasn't too hard, so frame damage is highly unlikely (touch wood). If he hadn't come back as fast as he did there wouldn't have been an issue, but he just chucked it into reverse ...

I was on the bike at the time, so had a prime viewing position. Almost forgot to turn my helmet camera on too, glad I remembered.
