Re: LLANDOW 2024 - reserve list

Could you add myself (Chris Flanagan) and Joe Lowles to Inters please? Currently having bike issues, but would love to join you if I can get it sorted in time!

Re: OS Maps

I didn't know much about the KLE 500 so read a review on MCN.. it has to be one the most damming reviews I've read about a bike. I've not seen MCN really attack a bike before so that was something new. The actual owners seem to like them though. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/kawasaki/...

Re: Track day tyre advice

I'm in a similar situation here. I fitted wets to my spare set of wheels 2 years but am yet to use them. They were new-old-stock when I fitted them so they're well past their shelf life now. I'll keep them fitted for my final trackday of the year, but next year I'll be swapping them out for Pilot Ro...

Re: OS Maps

I know of a wr125 that'll be up for sale very soon. Cosmetically not the prettiest condition but it's got brand new off Road tyres, Forks have been done, engine serviced etc. Needs an Nova and ideally some new plastics but other than that it's all good. Should cope with lanes pretty easy and still ...

Re: OS Maps

In fairness, if you just want to go out for a potter in the lanes, getting a bit lost from society, a full-on trail bike is possibly not necessary though it will make your life a chunk easier, as has been said. Plenty of people do things like the Exeter or Lands End trial on old brit roadbikes and ...

Re: OS Maps

Some food for thought, for sure. I've had a look at the bikes suggested, and it looks like I'd have to more than double my budget. To be clear, I'm not looking to tear up lanes that are impassable to most vehicles, more like some loose gravel track, etc. I know I'll be limited by the bike, but to me...

Re: OS Maps

Thanks for the information guys, some really helpful information there. I did consider going for something more capable off road, but reliability will be more important to me. The type of lanes I have in mind wouldn't be too challenging, more like dirt tracks with a bit of mud thrown in for fun duri...

OS Maps

Hi all :-h I plan on picking up a winter hack to get me to and from work, and I've always fancied doing a bit of green laning. Bike wise, it would have to be something reliable, with a budget of around £1000. I'm thinking a little CG125 or CB250, if anyone can suggest something more fitting then fee...

Re: Cadwell Park 7th August

I think I've got one more trackday in me this year, unfortunately it definitely won't be Andalucia!
I'm yet to do Brands GP but I did Indy on my old Duke 690. I have high hopes for the GP track :)

The Other Megaride

For anyone who missed it, there is a rideout planned in place of this year's Megaride. I have nothing to do with the planning of this event, I'm simply passing on the information that it's happening :) All details can be found on the Facebook page, here - https://facebook.com/events/s/the-other-mega...

Re: Cadwell Park 7th August

What an awesome day! I felt pretty good in middle group, obviously there were plenty of people faster than me, but I didn't embarrass myself :))

I don't have any photos yet, but here's a bit of footage :)

Re: Suggestions for Enduro tour

Could come with us all to portimao if you like. Enduro/off Road wise, if you've never done it before then don't jump in for a tour, it's bloody hard work. If you want to get into Muddy fun get a Bike and come play in the lanes with us. It's a steep learning curve but fun. Portimao is still an optio...

Re: Suggestions for Enduro tour

Thanks for the info, £1400 is certainly way beyond my means right now. A few suggestions for Yamaha off road school, I'll be sure to check them out.
