Re: Winter Bike Storage

As per Jug, I thoroughly recommend a pet dryer. Mine's pink but what the hell - same thing but loads cheaper that one marketed for bikes. Make sure you get the discs and pads thoroughly dry; wet brakes left for a while will likely bind up meaning calipers off (been there a few times  ) https:...

Re: Winter Bike Storage

I've seen reviews of air blowers to dry bikes and they seem pretty good. The reviewers are all probably getting a % of the sales though. :-)

Starting my fjr in cold was fine. I left it on for 30 secs before cranking the starter and had no problems.

Re: Lithium batteries - Brian's tuppence worth

I've had one on my FJR for coming up to two years. Saves a ton of weight (well about 3.5kg). Every little helps on the fjr. Not had any probs with it. Keeps its charge too and seemed to handle heated kit.

Will get them instead of normal for any bike from now on.

Never been able to smell him though. :))

Re: Maybe Going Track Only

Following from Jer R1, when I thought I was going to fast (quiet at the back) i made a decision to buy my cb1300s. It had a fair bit of torque and about 114bhp but it felt fine just trundling along at around the speed limit. Quite different to the bikes I'd had before. Not sure if it was safer but I...
