A bit of a seismic shift for one westcountry dealership

Whilst what they sell may not be to the taste of the general membership here, I saw an article elsewhere that said Riders of Bridgwater are losing their Harley franchise. Riders have been a mainstay of the HD dealer network for the best part of thirty years now, and their premises in Bridgwater is a...

Re: Your best bike........,

I'd guess it depends on your perspective and reference points ...... "best bike" for now, or "best bike" for then? Best bike for track, or best bike for touring? Best bike in terms of fitting the functionality you need, or best bike in terms of a smile from ear to ear when you ge...

Re: Engine change coming uo

It'd be interesting to compare engines weights between today and the past ....... not had to worry in recent times, but lugged plenty of air cooled GSX11 and GPz11 motors about in the past ...... plus the odd Guzzi and bevel drive Duke twins .....

Re: Speed Awarness Course

Did make me chuckle when I got told when she got home about it. Yes speed limits are in place for a reason. But it's more people distracted by phones or poor eyesight, lack of vehicle maintenance or similar which is more of a threat to safety. As per my comment above the point is what you think, or...

Re: Tiger 1200 power switch

I am intrigued as to what you mean by "power switch" - ignition switch, kill switch, or perhaps there's something else fitted to Triumph's?

Re: Speed Awarness Course

In my experience of Speed Awareness courses, the best advice I can give is be patient, be calm, listen, seem engaged, but SHUT THE F*** UP!! - say the minimum to keep them happy, get the session over as quickly as possible and move on with life. It's pointless arguing with them - they have a set age...

Re: Heartland quay hill climb

Sunday 10th Sept is Wiscombe Park, Honiton.
Sunday October 1st is Hartland Quay.

There is also the weekend of 23/24th Sept. Originally a double header with Manor Farm on the Saturday & Wiscombe on the Sunday, I believe both events are now at Wiscombe, but that would need to be confirmed :-bd
