Hartland Quay Hillclimb, 2-10-22
A bit of a last-minute decision but decided to pop up to Hartland for the last NHCA hillclimb of the year. The weather Sunday morning, plus a companion without a roadworthy bike meant a trip out in the car ........... Can't upload the pics here as they're (way) too big for the sites size limits and ...

Re: Fuel costs ....worth shopping around! ;-)
Wow, still pricey up your way ..... But I'm stuck with super unleaded for three of my four vehicles - only the subaru is definitely OK with e10, the range rover is a definite no, as is the TL, and I can't find any definite answer re the MV. Just a shame we can't get the ethanol free super (Esso) dow...

Re: Beware of Teslas on Autopilot
Quite a few cars are now being made with speed limiters too, so you can't exceed posted speed limits. Inevitably it will soon enough be on bikes. There will no doubt be legislation in most countries soon along the lines of making such technology obligatory- and no being outside the EU will not stop...

Re: Experience with Insurance Company
Your mistake was speaking to your own insurers. As this was a third party claim, there was no need and all it did was open you up to increased premiums for no significantly reduced hassle. You should have taken the other parties insurance details and spoken to their claims department direct. Once li...

Re: Trying to find a Shoei GT-Air 2 Gloss Black XL in a shop near Taunton
Thanks all for the suggestions. In the end I did what Moose suggested and have just got back now from Helmet City at Cheddar. Helmet sized and fitted, and a black gloss one ordered for pick up in a few days. Unfortunately I forgot it’s a Bank Holiday weekend, so my attempt to ride along Cheddar Gor...

Phone Jay at Helmet City Cheddar. The shops often have different stock levels to those shown on the central website. If you want a specific item they can usually get it in quickly too

Re: Next Welsh trip - Thu 11th to Sat 13th August
Have fun, the weather forecast is scorchio, apparently! I will be in Wales next weekend, and only a little northeast of you, but not on the bike sadly. Somewhat ironically, I was just down the road from Merthyr at Walters Arena (Glynneath) last weekend .....

New Trackday Circuit, possibly?
I've seen elsewhere car days are being advertised at the Lotus Engineering test track. A bit of a haul from down here, but reckoned to be a good circuit, given its the Lotus handling test centre ..... I wonder if any of the bike trackday companies will take a punt :-? https://www.goldtrack.co.uk/tra...
