I finally did it...

Post by Jug »

Got back in the mud. :D

Not ridden dirt in a couple of years so I feared it'd be a hard road back but it really wasn't. First couple of lanes were very technical but after surviving those it set me up well for the rest of the day.
Plan now is to do a few more and then start posting up rides for anyone who wants to come explore my local riding area.

Anyway.. couple of snaps from a scenic rest point.

Umborne Brook near Cotleigh, Devon.
Loads of very good lanes all around there.

That's how it looked by the end of the day.. not too bad really as the patch I was riding is more stones & gravely dirt rather than mud, and there was a river crossing which helps.
Digital cameras make bikes look cleaner than they are.
It's sat in the garage now and all the mud has dried so it looks far worse.. trust me you wouldn't want to brush up against it in your best suit.

Yuk.. that looks like the red clay staining that you get over the other side of the Exe.
I remember when I first took my bike down to the Totnes lanes.. almost torched it and claimed on the insurance, took three washes to clear all that. :)):

And a very clean looking dizzy at that!

I like the headlight. I think you've previously said what it is.
Is it a Chinese KTM clone with an LED unit in it?

Yes it’s a cheap KTM copy from eBay
It’s not so clean now it’s well used 😀 getting on for 2000 miles off road use in the last 18 months
Is your an E or S model?
