Crash Repairs In Devon

Post by menzies3032 »

Hi All

I recently had a slow speed low side, :80: :(( happy to say that the crash bungs did there magic and mostly save the day but did not completely save everything.

Looking to try and go somewhere to get repairs done. Can anybody recommend where to go? Prefer somewhere close to Torbay / Exeter but happy to travel for a good recommendation.

The 2 things I need to fix are:-
1) the edge of my end can, mainly the riveted strapping.
2) the right hand fairing. I dont have any holes just scratches and scuffed on the right hand side.

Suggestions and recommendations very welcome.

Do it yourself?

New panel from eBay, and I'veno doubt you can get the exhaust strap from there too. Panel will obviously be a straight swap, and the strap is simply a question of drilling out the old rivets and installing the new ........

Exhaust repairs complete :)):

Got new metal strap and rivets from Scorpion. Drilled out the old ones, cleaned up dirt and scuffs and then covered for extra good effect with a new R&G crash protector.

Just the fairing to sort now but bought some vinal wrap off ebay so going to give it a try and will post the results when done.

People.... vinal wrap its the way to go :80: :D :ymparty:

See photo of my crashed fairing repaired for less then £10 delivered by using vinal wrap to cover the crash damage from my off.

A massive thank you to the wife for expert skills doing the fiddly stuff but the results speak for themselves!!!
