The weather has been kind of pants and the garage isn't too cold & damp yet so it's been a good time to catch up on those little jobs on bike.
I've been doing a few little bits to my Superduke.

I've been riding mine to keep all the moving parts lubricated.
It had an oil change over the summer and the tolerances checked in September.
I also fully serviced the suspension not long ago. Brake fluid and clutch fluid done too.

I have to say I don’t do my own maintenance with Billinom8s living so close to me it takes a little trip to his house with some parts and funds and then comes back bright and shiney and ready for another 12 months of fun.

Re: Anyone doing/done any end of season maintenance?
Recently Chicky returned from my sister's with a couple of boxes of rust.. formerly a Yamaha RS100 that my sister found partly buried, and excavated from someone's garden (she's a gardener) - it's all there - well that's only partly true as despite nothing appearing to have been unbolted, a number of parts have been busily biodegrading back to their constituent elements.. the wheel rims are mostly rust and fresh air, fork stanchions are beyond salvation and heaven knows what the wiring loom will be like, but my sis patiently dismantled it and retained all the unserviceable bits so that they can be taken to autojumbles and matched up to usable parts that a lot of vendors probably don't know the origins of. We haven't started looking at it yet, but initial thoughts include mixing and matching bits from later bikes, like maybe the forks, yokes and wheels from a YBR125 - easier to find than originals from a 1982 bike, and giving a disc brake instead of the drum it came with. My sis is horrified, insisting that it should be kept as original as possible, but my reasoning is that the RS hasn't been elevated to the classic status of others from that era like Fizzies, RDs etc. and upgrading cycle parts to more modern stuff will increase its appeal to potential buyers...
