noisey Virago...............

Got a mate who has just got hold of a virago (1100 I think) to use as a bit of a project. It's got a bit of a knocking top end noise as you unload the engine and the revs drop past 2000rpm. Its not burning oil and has done 13k miles.................. any ideas???

depends on the age of the bike, some viragos had shall we say flexable con rods and poor oil feed to small end which can show up more as u reduce load, a look see is needed.
