Winter work on the zx10 - so far

So work continues with the 10 i got my hands on over the summer.
Work done so far,

strip and service forks
strip and service brakes - front and rear (very mucky)
replace rear shock
replaced rearsets
replace rear brake line
make new bracket for rear mastercylinder
replace front brake reservoir
service steering damper
oil change
filter change
clean k&n through
grease bearings in wheels
grease bearings in headstock
rescue chain
grease all rear suspension linkage
setup suspension on bike
replace rear sprocket
lube throttle cables and service throttle assembly
tidy wiring
strip bodywork and sand down for repairs
replace bolts with rounded out heads
sort bar ends
fix ignition barrel
bleed brakes
lube clutch cable
drain coolant and refill
make radiator guard
clean

My ZX track bike had a captive rear caliper - modified standard one - made rear wheel changes far easier. If you're interested in a truly useful mod let me know and I can give you the details :-bd

Put check frame for cracks on your list.

A Friend has one and he has a crack down a weld in behind the headstock about 6" back. needs airbox off to see it.
Searching tinternet, is seems to appear to often. Kawasaki are aware of it and have offered him a cheap frame but thats all.

Layne I thought that was more on the 04-05 models not the 06-07 models or are these still affected.

I know they used to break the frames near the engine mountings from people attempting to stunt them.
