Honda cb125t engine

Post by Gas head »

My sons piston has come off the con rod and trashed the barrels and crank. Don't suppose there are any old engines or parts available on here? Bloody thing was still running with the piston off!!!

It's a 125cc so can't be too bad to swap over.

Why not rebuild the original motor

Not sure I would be able to or if I could get the parts still.

The hardest bit will probably be the crank, as usually the barrels can get bored and if needed relined.
Pistons and gasket sets would all be available aftermarket

David Silver are usually good for most Honda parts -

The TC was the "Superdream" version wasn't it? The basic engine is very similar to the TA & TB as well as the CD125T Benly, if you want to widen your search (though you may have to paint some parts black).

A TA or TB engine would be a good swap if you can find one, as they were 16-18bhp rather than the Superdream 12bhp ....... Though you may have to forgo the electric start .........
