Tyre Advise Please

Post by menzies3032 »

Hi All

Happy new year!

Can I please get your advise. I have used Metzeler Racetec K3 rear last year on my 600 on track and it worked really well so have decided to get a new set this year. However I had a K3 front that I have not yet used that I am looking to put on but feeling it tonight the tyre did feel hard and not very plyable. However just realised it has a 2011 year stamp on it even though I know it has been stored either in a garage or in an attic on its side at ambient conditions.

So question. Is it still ok or should I be concerned?

Just for good measure got a new set of tyres for the 1000 as well and going to give the M7's a go.
