Ruffian may be able to help with the obd reader if there's a port on it.

DID the lights go out?
Checked the battery connections?
Have you done any Work to it recently that may have resulted in kinking a pipe?

When it stopped did it have any other issues??
Usually kawasaki fuel pumps have a teabag filter on them and these can block up if left for a prolonged time.

Has anything else been changed recently?
When was the last time it had a set of plugs?
If a coil pack was failing usually they would have a fault code.

Is it stuttering under load or idle? Cold or hot?

Anything more you can tell could help diagnose it.

First thing would clean and treat all the connection plugs. My mates zx10 would always throw up the fi light with stale fuel.
