Hi all.
Havent been out on bike for cpl weeks but went out today but when i started it up from cold it had a sort of ticky/tappey noise but as it warmed up it got quieter then when at normsl operating temp nothing at all.cud only here it at idle when cold.
Any idears.

Depending on how often it has been serviced and the mileage I would be checking chain tensioner or maybe the shims need looking at.
Electronic's keeps the boys upright, the men keep it on the knee slider

Could it be you being overly sensitive? If left longer than usual oil will drain more, causing it to be initially noisier. Likewise it's not uncommon for engines to be noiser until warmed up ....

Wot he said.
Any vehicle that is left for a few weeks will give a Little 'ticky rattle' at the start as it's got no oil in the top part of the engine and the metal has cooled thoroughly, slightly contracting enough to allow the tolerances to be at their greatest.
As soon as the oil flows engine heats up and the metal expands again it's all back to normal and happy days.

But Andy, it's probably where is has been sat for a long time and the oil needed to get around the engine again....
