Or just put your disc lock on so you can move the bike about 1cm before it hits. It is a good idea tho, maybe good if someone tries to steal it too, having no footpeg will make it differcult to nick.

great idea ... bit cheaper to get one of the stretchy coiled cables that goes from the disc lock to your bars ... came free with mine ... with my memory I need all the help I can get
my mind not only wanders ... sometimes it leaves completely

But if you don't use your footpeg to select first gear, then it's a waste of £50

i had a xena disclock with an alarm on it before - it was a motion sensing one so went off if you got on the bike without taking it off. Was a lot heavier than a regular disclock but quite useful, and only about 30 quid I think

I don't use a disk lock as the thieving b'stards can still pick the bike up and stick it in the back of a van. A nice big chain that goes aroung a lamp post and though my frame now try and get though that in a hurry.

Do you forget to put your helmet on? Or put your sidestand up?
Then why forget about disklock, make it a routine if you have to use one.
