ncb certificate

Post by watters » Jun 15th, '08, 16:47

how do you get hold of your ncb certificate to prove you have got them? do they get sent through automatically once your policy runs out or do you have to ask for them?
ive always stayed with the same compnay so never needed any proof but ive found insurance much cheaper with someone else so will need the proof.

Ask the old insurance company for a letter, some new insurers dont ask for proof either, although some just ask for the old policy number.

Many companies will accept the previous companies renewal letter which should show the level of ncb you have earnt :D

What Moose said, i havent had a proof of ncb for years now, usually there is a comment in the application with the new company stating they will accept the renewal letter from your last company as proof of ncb :)
