Track Day Insurance?

Track Day Insurance?
Help
Ive spent the best part of the morning getting track day insurace quotes, some seem ok (not great) and some are coming back with crazy amounts.
I know from regular reading of the forum that a few of you are regulars on the track, do you/have you use/d track day insurance?
If so who from?
Many thanks,
Carl

Re: Track Day Insurance?
gotta say i dont have track insurance, got around that tho by sticking my bike under a truck and then rebuilding it with a new frame and forks and turnig it into a track bike.
for my first trackday tho i was bricking it so got a complete set of track fairings and a tank
the way i look at it is that i dont wanna have to spend out rebuilding/replacing stuff so i dont push it too much when i am on the track.
speak to scotty he does loads, failing that take it easy apparently its not a race

good idea as long as its never mentioned on a forum as insurers secretly use these places to watch peoples false claims.
dont use trackday insurance personally as the costs of a low damage spill would be less than the insurance/excess costs

I argree with deej, just make sure you leave your number plate at home, as some tracks have spotters there, which are insurance companies which take photos of bike number plates doing trackdays, just incase they bin it and try claiming.
I hae never used trackday insurance, but if you are worried about binning your P&J, think about hiring a bike.

Re: Track Day Insurance?
Thanks for your advice guys, to be honest If I do bin the bike big style I cant afford to repair it at the moment but i can afford to get the insurance.
I have a friend who last month did 2 grands worth of damage to his 08 R1 on the track
Obviously not being able to afford to repair my bike if I do trash it I cant afford to hire a track bike!
F U C K I N G Recession
So I think im just going to pay the cheapest quote i can find for the day
The trackday was bought for me and unfortunately I have to use it before the end of june otherwise i would wait till i can afford to do it propperly

You could always sell the voucher and put the cash to one side until you can afford it allPlunger83 wrote:Thanks for your advice guys, to be honest If I do bin the bike big style I cant afford to repair it at the moment but i can afford to get the insurance.

This sounds ominous
