Time for an update, I bit the bullet and got myself a new lid, an Arai Axces 2. I remembered that I had £100's worth of Damerell vouchers so off I went. Just waiting for a Respro Foggy and some Respro reflective stickers to turn up and I'll start wearing it. Now, do I get an iridium visor for it or a light tinted one, decisions, decisions.

I've got a light ( legal) tint visor on my Arai and so far its been very good - dark enough on bright days but still clear enough if you get caught out after dark ;)

I love my blacked visor, it looks the business but Moosey is right, its very easy to get caught out with it. As soon as the sun starts to go down I am either blind or have a face full of diesel shite and dust.

I always take my clear visor with me now. Tinted is best of both worlds I guess.

So would I get the tinted next time?

Nope. :))

Roof Boxers have a plastic chin piece which you can paint to your hearts content with just about anything.Did mine with water based acrylic airbrush paint and polyurethane lacquer over the top.Gets you noticed!ImageImage
