Jay, this may sound stupid, but I had an MX bike where the seat was made of leather and a bit of it was white, and I tried bleach and Cif on it, and both cleaned it right up.

Always found soap and water worked well for me.

Also I use a 'beeswax' solution (you can usually find it at any bike show, then clean your boots with it as a demo) called "Renapur - Leather Balsam. Apply it really sparingly and it brings the leathers up like new, and also adds some rain protection as the water just pours off...

Here is what it says on the tub

"Renapur's natural ingredients protects, waterproofs and nourishes all leathers, restoring their original softness and colour, preserving its looks and extending its life"

http://www.renapur.co.uk/

The balsam lasts for ages, I'm still on my original pot and I bought it two years ago. Good stuff! :D

Bugger the outside, how do I remove that putrid smell from the inside. I think my wife, kids and even the dog are gonna pass out soon whenever I take off my leather trousers

Anyone know the best way to get them smelling fresh once again

Twit :P

My lining is not removable. It does say on the label that they should only be cleaning professionally. Trying to think of a better way other than spending shedloads on removing the stale sweat etc YUK

There is a lauderette chain cleaning place that has a branch in Tiverton, I noticed they said they can clean leather garments, wonder if i should dump my fly ridden skanky leathers and see if they can do it?
