removing the emission air valve from k4 bandit 1200
My bandit is 7 years old and its time for a major overhaul, well most of it is ordered and some complete but I have been looking at the vacuum controlled air inlet valve under the tank that feeds air into the cylinders when the throttle is closed. This will reduce the engine braking and is a source of air leaks weakening the mixture. I am going to machine up 4 plates tomorrow to seal the ports on the cylinder block to see if it makes a difference anyone tried this out ?

Plenty of people have got rid of the valve on later Bandits, for that very reason, don't know too much info myself as I have the much older one. Hope everything goes well and it runs better
