Came through Belgium a few years ago lead bike stopped the sat nav died not a clue where we were & no maps

Anyhooo.....I’m with you on the paper map thing. Satnags have their uses sure but I love planning out a route on a real map. Michelin maps have the green routes (scenic) I’ve got quite a pile of them for regions in France

I've always preferred the IGN maps for France (French OS equivalent) and have marked up copies going back to the late eighties ..... Interesting to look at now, with hardly any autoroutes west of Paris .....
