taking a ride to seaton tonight

Post by billinom8s »

Off to give the Bike a shakedown to see if it's going to behave on Sunday after it's period of misbehaving.

Leaving in about 20 minutes and taking the coast road there.

I'll be down on the front if anyone is venturing out.

So it even works in the rain too! :-)

Quite some exaustive testing going on.

That's dedication that is...

No. I just lie down somewhere warm and dry and think of something else until the thought goes away.

Why do some peeps not ride in the rain? I don't mean when it's peeing down and you get wet through, but what is the problem with light showers and a bit of wet tarmac?
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't

I think my biggest grumble about riding in the rain is all the cleaning needed afterwards.... getting caught by rain is inconvenient, but I won’t set out for a road ride in the rain unless it’s a planned jobbie that I’ve organised for other folks with a stop-over somewhere (ie. inconvenient to cancel). Off-road isn’t such an issue, though if it’s hammering down I’ll probably bail as you’ll always end up wet and cold if out for a long while.

I think he was referring to his oil dribble.

But yeah, a lot won't ride in rain, cold, Frost, ice, snow, drizzle, mist, cloud, below 20° etc.

I don't like riding on use track in rain but don't mind going out in the lanes or on the Road in the wet.

For me riding is about having me time to enjoy myself. Being out in the cold and the wet getting soggy and dirty is just not enjoyable so i don't do it. In my youth i did i had a 50 and a 125 where these were my primary transport at 16 and 17 years old and used to get soaked through on a regular basis. Hence never again. Not enjoyable.
