You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.
Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Being a newb... Been reminded that the A39 on a weekend in the summer isn't maybe the best road?
Having ridden it a bit, got to agree...
We have loads of time, all route suggestions welcome, it's about everyone having a grin on there face, suggestions?
I was thinking meet around Taunton.... Longest day of the year! Plenty of stops, smoke, coffee, pasty etc...
Cheers

Cheddar Gorge is busy on Sundays but is still fun once you get up past the cave carparks. A39 up out of Wells is a blast, then turn left onto the B3134 then across the top of the Mendips. B3141 Woolavington to East Huntspill is flowing. A372 from Langport towards Bridgwater includes the famous Seven Bends stretch. from there you could go up the A361 to join the A39, turn off at The Pipers and go along Cockrod, over the crossroads and onto Reynalds Way to join the B3153.
The Truckers café at Ashcott on A39 does a great fryup as does the café at Pawlett on the A38.

Burrington Combe is similar(not quite on the same scale though) to Cheddar Gorge but not so touristy. Maybe up one and down the other?
The Castle of Comfort was biker friendly last time I tried it and has a large car park and beer garden https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Castle ... +&t=m&z=14" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'd be up for this ride, the more the merrier right?
A bike on the road is worth 2 in the shed.

More than welcome, if you look at what a friendly ride entails then it's perfect for a newbie. All junctions marked, experienced outsiders and you'll be looked after by those that are there.MrSanti wrote:Hi,Would like to come on this ride.
