[Cancelled] Saturday 12th May - Bimble to Bristol (Fowlers)

Post by Jug »

I'm meeting a couple of mates coming up from south Devon and taking a scenic bimble up through Langport, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and then on to Fowlers for a bite in their cafe (and a lust after all the new shiny things they have).
We'll likely take in a coast on the way back down country.

Main meet will be 9:30 at Ilminster if anyone wants to come along.
Pace will mostly be leisurely, defo noob friendly but likely not suitable for 125's.

... unless it rains.....

Nah, I'm more worried about the KTM salesmen... last time I went to a dealer "just for a test ride" I ended up buying it.
This time is just going to be for a look and a sit, honestly...

Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

Not sure yet, will confirm once the rough route has taken shape... but I'd imagine it'd be 10.30-11.00'ish

Will do, although I am watching the weather report closely... any hint of rain anywhere in the UK and I'll likely pull out, or so they'd have you believe on here... but it is true...

I will need to leave you at Cheddar and head back Shepton Mallet direction.
Fozz.
If you can give me a n ETA for Langport or i can pm my mobile to you?

Will do.
I'm gonna be on my 650 V-strom as it's not likely to be a fast ride.

I would have liked to go Nige but I can't tomorrow as I've got a delivery coming and no idea what time.
Typically it arrives midday or afternoon.

Sorry guys, I've gone and done the unthinkable... I've taken a perfectly serviceable bike and disabled it. x_x

Had a very slow leak on the rear tyre, bit of investigation and found it leaking at one small section on the rim. I had a quick play with some tyre levers to try any encourage it to seal.... but instead I now have a much bigger leak against the rim... :80:

I might have another go later on tonight but likely will leave it until tomorrow now.
