Silly early Father’s Day ride out (Sunday 17th June)

Post by menzies3032 »

Hi All

This Sunday is farthers day this should mean that I get to do what ever I want for the day but as any farther knows your wife and child normally have other plans.

With this in mind I am going to go for a silly early ride.

Meet at Bridge Motorbikes in Exeter and the ride starts at 6am :!! ..... yes that is correct it starts at 6am!!!!!

The plan is to head east into Dorset and then back and get back to Exeter by about 9:30 I have to be home in Teignmouth for 10am.

If your nuts enough to hall your body out of bed a 5 something o’clock then I would love to see you. One thing is for sure the roads are going to be very quiet at this time of the morning.

So far I have drafted in Red5 to join me.
If your interested let me know below.

Will be passing Fowlers about 09.15 en route to Poole.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

It'll be pace traffic and time dependant. Poole is doable if the traffic's kind.
Suck it and see. Plenty of breakfast / coffee stops all around.
Mostly off dual drags and major A roads... :-bd

Might be up for this, depends how Saturday p.m. goes :ymparty: .
Which route east are you taking after leaving Bridge M/C's? If it's the A3052 towards Lyme Regis, I'll join at the Bowd Inn near Sidmouth - or Honiton if it's the A30.

Will be having a think about fuel stops. Being a early morning and a Sunday might fine some of the main stream petrol stations might be closed so will have a think about it before we leave. Might want to make sure the tank is full on Saturday night.

If I'm going, then my petrol bowser will be fuelled and ready the night before. The Fut'll do 200 miles + to a tank usualy so no worries there.
