You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Bank Holiday Monday ride in Cornwall with CBG Marshalls.

Post by badgerKDD »

Just sharing this if any Cornwall members want to tag along. I'm planning a ride out for Cornish Bike Group Marshalls, so if you want to expand your skills or just fancy tagging along let me know. Post on CBG reads as follows:
Putting together a provisional Marshalls ride out for Bank Holiday Monday 27Aug. Just awaiting confirmation on my wife's shift pattern. If this goes ahead I would be meeting at Morrison car park (the small one next to the garage), 10 am for 10.30 stands up. Route will be approx towards Bodmin (probs via Wadebridge roads A39) then across to Chequered flag for Brunch and home via Dobwalls, St. Blazey and St Austell. Expecting it to be three to four hours so back mid afternoon. Pace will be traffic dependent but not suitable for small capacity bikes, so it's a big boy/ girl trousers ride 😉👍. Obviously it's also weather dependent, I'll confirm the ride for definite in the next week but will give updates as the date approaches. Call it a training exercise in 'making progress' as the cops call it. Special attention will be paid to 'looking ahead', reading the road and progressive overtaking. Swift but safe is the idea. 😉

Would have liked to have done this however I'm meant to be marshalling the Legendary Grand Tour (North Devon Mini run) over the weekend! Next time though...as long as I'm not already busy!
