Saturday 25th ride to Boscastle for Breakfast

Post by menzies3032 »

Ok people. After missing most of the summer ride outs due to family issues by some mirrical I have managed to get authorisation for a ride out on Saturday morning.

Going to set off from Bridge Motorcycles in Exeter at 7am and head across the middle of Devon up to Boscastle for a fry up breakfast in a hotel and then head back.

Will lead the ride at the pace of the slowest rider as I like to keep us together as a group. That said this is not a friendly ride so probably not the best if you have just passed your test or on a 125.

Who’s interested and wants to come and play.

I'll be out on Saturday but that's way too early for me, it'd almost mean a 6:00am set off.

Have a good ride though, Sunday looks to be pretty wet, hope that doesn't creep forwards to Saturday before we get there.

I'm in Richard for your ride at 7am. Weather looks good. Hope I don't get lost and find Bridge this time. Phil has shown me an easy way to find it, although will set the satnav to be sure.

I really like the early start --clearer roads. I expect others are itching to come.

Thanks Roy for joining me this morning. Was still a bit wet on the way up but the way back was fab dry roads and a pretty good breakfast as well.

Met up with some new riders at the services on the way home hope they will be joining SWB shortly.

Proper result :-bd

For anybody interested or who has joined me in the past for a Boscastle ride and enjoyed our morning breakfasts I found out today that you really need to ring ahead to make sure you can get a seat as can’t always accommodate walk in customers

Hence check out there web site and ring before you go to avoid disappointment.

Passed a wooden shed built on the back of a Transit chassis, looked road worthy;then a huge show mans' carriage, the type hauled by old steam engines; on a grass verge beside the road a cyclist just getting out of his tent after an overnights rest, how's that that for initiative. The roads were clear and the sun shone.

Good route Robert, good breakfast-- yum yum and smashing bends on the way.
Looking forward to the next ride.
