Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Thursday November 15th

Post by ptolemyx »

Yep, that's tomorrow - late notice innit.

I'm going out to play, leaving North Molton around 09.30. If anyone's not at work and fancies a bimble in the sun message me a possible time and place to meet. Got no idea where I'm going, just need to get out, stir crazy after a few weeks not riding...

Perhaps I'm getting too old for this. Waited for the drist to stop so didn't go out till 11ish. Pootled around the local roads for a while but soon got uncomfortably cold despite the heated gloves and doubling up on the thermals. Cripes, I used to ride in sub zero quite happily but seems that a balmy 12degrees is too much these days

Uh oh.

On the plus side though, you posted a ride, organised it and went on it.
Doesn't matter that nobody joined you.

Points earned - top job sir.

Now that I have a bike with an air temp display on it I have realised that I first start to feel a slight chill when it gets below 18 deg, I can counter that by wearing more gear but there comes a point at which I wonder why I'm bothering, that's probably at around 12 deg.
Green laning on the other hand, 12 deg is perfect, in fact it might even be a touch on the warm side.

Yeh, true... I forgot that.. but it's quite a small display, and the temp digits are tiny.
Also I rarely look at the dash when i'm out on that bike. I'm holding on tight & grinning like an idiot.
