In KM/H, yes.

Just remember the story about the hare and tortoise......I've got a 250 mile tank range!

Am I sensing that there's a 790 Adventure appeared in the group?

Aye. I'm quite loyal to the brand and had a good experience with the 1190 and the guys at S and P. Took a 790 Duke out when the 1190 was in for a service and couldn't believe how light it was. The Adventure is a bit more but still 30kg less than a 1190.

It'll still be quicker than a mobility scooter, which could be the next new vehicle I buy ♿

Did I forget to mention that as usual with my ride outs pace is intended to be "making good progress", not suitable for learners or 125s. More hare having fun than tortoise crawling along......

790 Adventure will be more than capable and I look forward to seeing it in its spanking new shininess Andy :-bd

I'm still experimenting where to mount the satnav so I may be as clueless as you if I can't get it sorted in time!

Sorry, it's looking unlikely I'll be able to make this one. The seat is unbelievably uncomfortable for my boney arse so am having to get it adapted as there are no freplacement comfort seats available until later in the year. I'm taking the seat in to the upholsterers tomorrow and I can't believe he'll get it done in a day.
At least it will give me time to get the satnav bracket wired in....apparently it's an hour's work just to get the headlight off to access the wiring!

The 1190 is similar (takes about 30 mins), would be a pita if you had to change a headlight bulb at a service station. I ran the GPS power from under the seat so that I can get to it again quickly if needed.

Hopefully that won't be an issue as the headlight, indeed all of the lights, are LED on the 790 Adv.

Maybe that's why they make it difficult to get it apart as they think nobody would have the need to. Unless you want to get at the wiring, of course.....

You got it! Seat being modified and should be back next week. Cheaper and quicker than waiting for KTM to launch one.
TBH seat comfort is a very individual thing and could be that others would find it okay but for a skinny lad like me it's pretty painful. I've had to change seats on the last 3 bikes I've had.

IF, and it currently looks a strong possibility, storm Hannah is lashing it down tomorrow I will postpone. I do rain but not gales.

So please check in before setting out in case I do pull the plug. If I do postpone, the decision will be posted by 7.00 a.m. Saturday. If I've not posted to this effect the ride is on.....or I died in my sleep......
