You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.
Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Rideout - Sunday 26th May
Here's a precis', full details to be posted a.s.a.p.:
A medium length ride, leaving Honiton around 0800 hrs-ish and finishing in mid-Devon - probably McD's in Tiverton.
We'll be making progress so not suitable for L platers or 125's, sorry.
Weather permitting.

Re: Rideout - Sunday 26th May
O.k. folks, here's the full info' on the 2 B's Rideout (2 B's = Blackdowns and Brendons):
First, and most important, a change of departure & return point from the original post:
[/u] - now SHELL SERVICE STATION, WELLINGTON - TA21 9AD; it's just off the eastern end of the A38 Wellington ring road, easy to find.
Please be fuelled and coffee'd up, ready to ride by 0830 hrs..
Route is approx' 92 miles with just one stop planned for a regroup and comfort break (y'all) at the halfway point. We won't encounter much more than the occasional lonely local on the roads and we'll finish, around 1100 hrs, at the Welly service station (above) for coffee, de-brief, tall tales, banter etc.
If hordes of you turn up to brave another of B & P's (in)famous rural rideouts then we'll use the drop-off system - to be strictly adhered to! - and we'll need a TEC please. If there's lots of wimping out so only a few hardy souls attend, then it's 'keep yer eyes on yer mirrors' time - especialy me!
Pace will be as the conditions allow but brisk where possible, so not realy suitable for 125's or L's.

Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

For your perusal:
On the computer the journey is 92 miles yet if you press the link and send it to your phone or hudl*, it's only 63 miles.
Any thoughts?

As per (cryptic) above, I reckon it's missed a loop.

Re: Rideout - Sunday 26th May
The Dunkeswell to Colliton bit is more or less a cycle track - so we're green laning on the actual route this time instead of it being one of our "navigation errors" - bring it on

Re: Rideout - Sunday 26th May
We're hitting Wivvy twice so guess you're abandoning ship on the second pass. As we'll have done well over 75% of the route by then (or 100% if we follow Roy's device) we''ll let you off.MellowYellow wrote: ↑May 17th, '19, 15:11 Would love to come, 'specially as you have a proper bike now.

Re: Rideout - Sunday 26th May
Route update and info':
ROUTE - From Wellington we'll be heading south, then east across the Blackdown hills to Blackwater, then north to Shoreditch, then south to Dunkeswell/Colliton/A373 . . . . . . . . . At Wiviliscombe it's north to Elworthy, then an anti-clockwise loop back to Wivvy (ta-ta Larry ), then Milverton and south to Welly, services, coffee and the sound of hot ticking metal .
ROADS - This is NOT a full-on, exclusively A roads, balls-out blast . On this ride there's maybe 12 miles of A roads in total for that; there's also lots of pretty brisk B roads and unclassified roads you can let yer hair down on. As for the rest, there's nothing ridiculously hard core or anything requiring off-road skills, but you WILL have to be on your toes in places .
