ride outs in devon
looking for like minded cruiser riders for ride outs
as now at my age i get the thrill from the ride not the speed
so looking for similar minded folk who enjoy a break for a snack and brew to break up the ride

Hi Guys, Brummie biker here a fellow 55+ not into blasting around not knowing whats round the next corner
So a humaine starts in the mornings, followed by 70, 80, 90 milers with plenty of bog, sarnie, tea n cake stops...sounds great to me
The days of blasting around trying to keep up with sporties has long gone for this old school biker...lol
Sorry to all you forum sportie riders but we have to accomadate ALL riders & styles
i am sure there would be a growing number of casual leisurely riders for nice steady rides
count me in, work schedules permitting.
cheers.

Take a look at the ride out sector at the pinned post that just helps you describe your rid to others so the right people turn up for the right ride. If your quoting a “friendly ride” then nobody should be turning up expecting any serious pace. It’s about the ride, the view, the roads and the cake and coffee stops

Re: ride outs in devon
Friendly rides are always run in a leisurely fashion. As long as you don't need to stop every ten minutes for a picture and can keep up with posted speed limits you'll be fine.
I find at lower speeds you can work on your observation and road positioning better than if you're going faster than you feel comfortable with. I know there's a line where if I go over it I'm in a slightly dodgy situation so just peg it back a bit. There will always be someone quicker than you so just let 'em go.....
