BIKE SAFE

Post by Red5 »

I've just booked myself on a Police Bikesafe course, Barnstaple Sunday July 1st. £35 Gives you a days riding with the best there is on the road to observe you and give you pointers.

One of the best £35 you'll spend on your own biking.

There are various dates and places but Exeter was fully booked.
Hopefully see some faces there.

Its the best thing I have recently done. The theory part is informative but a little boring.Having a police rider behind you for an hour+ is "different".
the feedback is constructive not critical and to be honest I would have done it again. Perhaps I crave for some advanced rider course but I'm not sure.

See you there on the day Nick. I'm sure they can teach an old dog some new tricks, or at least advise on the many things I do wrong!

Mumpty question, where does the day start; Barnstaple cop shop or what?
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't

Yes, unless it says other wise, I'll be heading to the station at the top of the hill there.

Done this today and enjoyed it, I found it very hard to ride so slow and having to go back to basics, but it has made me think for my safety and feel I need to take a few steps back before I take any more forward steps! so I am going to book up some training and calm things down for a while as my pot of luck is running out. Any one down in Cornwall looking to go out just for a ride out within the speed limits give me a shout as I need to practise!!
