Posting the pic of my old 500T reminded me of a brush with the law.
I was returning home on it when a jam sandwich appeared on my tail. It was about 11 p.m. and I'd had two or three pints. Riding nicely, at proper speeds, and loads of indicating we reached the M32 slip road which I needed to take from J1 to the end. Sped up, slowed down at the end, got into my lane early, indicating right and stopped at the lights.
Plod pulls up alongside, opens his window and pokes me in the thigh. Tells me that my indicator is not working. I said that it was OK when I left, and that I would get a new bulb tomorrow.
He replied that he believed me, but that the new bulb would not work. My indicator assembly had fallen off on the m-way, bounced once and just missed his windscreen.
