LOL - but probably photo-shopped given the perfect pattern of the holes down the barrel which would have been pretty difficult to make considering the size.

We once got a mate to go to the parts counter of Mott Motorcycles and ask for a "Power Ped", we told him it was a piston return spring and that we had all got them in our bikes and they were way faster now.
But then again, when you have a 50 you're desperate.

The guy at the counter was a good sport, he even fired the microfiche up to help look for this elusive spring.

They aren't holes, they're dimples, and they don't go any further than the transfer ports so shouldn't affect compression.
However..., I wonder what Stan Stephens would have to say about that... :)):
