Any bike changes or additions planned for next year?

Post by Jug »

I'm currently torturing myself with the idea of adding another to my stable even though I haven't the room in the garage.

TBH I'd rather not add another bike to my collection but I can't bare to sell one either..., and I think I need another.

Might have to sell a kidney...

You have to be very careful when introducing a green lane bike to road or track bikes, they often don't get on at first.

You got any green lanes around Devon? They always seem brown and muddy to me...

I'm hoping to get a newer bike next year. Maybe a newer fjr or a BMW r1250rs. Depending on finances really. Also looking to get an older bike and perhaps do it up. An old katana would be lovely.

Well i have just added an addition to the stable.06 Suzuki Sv 650 for riding through winter and the odd track day(need to lose my cherry :)): )
Will be keeping the Bmw Xr 1000 as the new model coming out doesnt offer enough of an upgrade to change.
The Triumph Daytona stays forever and is currently sleeping in the corner of the garage.

Tough call that one. I'd imagine the RS would feel a more sporty than the FJR and be easier to man handle around town/traffic and tight corners.
But the FJR has is the 2up cruising licked... but suffers for it at the corners.

Hmm.. :-?

Whenever I think about getting a "bash about bike" I start looking up SV650's. The engine in my DL650 was a peach so I'm keen to try the SV as it makes a bit more power and is considerably lighter.

Go for it!
I wanted an MT-09 Tracer badly when I first saw one at a bike dealers.
I looked at the Multi before getting my 1190 Adv but decided to stay clear of the Ducati due to fears of the potential cost of ownership.
