Courier: Exeter >> Essex?..

Post by Milky »

As I have sold my ZX400.. it needs to get to Essex! .. the guy who bought it has not taken his test so we need a van or somethin to get the bike to him. What would be the cheapest, easiest option?.. what sort of price would we be looking at? Anyone know anyone good etc.. Thanks!, Tom. :D

I think the going courier rate for a bike anywhere in the country is around 150-200 pounds best searching motorbike courier on ebay.

Personally if i were selling id whip out the yellow pages and phone up all the "man with van" adverts like you do with insurance and play em off against each other, get the best quote

do a search on ebay, there used to be a uk bike delivery company that charged 99 quid
wasnt there also a guy based out bow/crediton way that used to do uk bike delivery
i wouldnt trust a courier personally as if it gets there and its damaged whos responsible,as its a ebay sale its his repsonsibility as a buyer to collect/arrange for collection so leave him worry about it if you cant find anyone

Got a mate with a car and tow-hitch? WTA rent trailers for £15-20

I would offer, but far too much on at present and the trailer is in pieces

what did you advertise on your ebay listing ? There are couriers that will do bike delivery anywhere in country for £95. Just take lots of pics before it does in the van and then email them to the buyer so he compare them on delivery.

Well that's a stroke of luck for you

I know advertising delivery helps a ebay sale but only offer it if you can actually offer the service. I usually make a extra 75 quid a sale on ebay as I have the benefit of a company car and trailer
