Are you F**king kidding me!!!!

Post by menzies3032 »

So after Llandow all things are good but rear tyre on the bike was buggered. I made it to RTTB but was clear the tyre was illegal

Then work got me traveling, the wife was freaking out about being alone so much, holidays happened, family events happened and to cut a long storey short the new tyre only got remounted back on the bike on Sunday at about 10:30 (which meant I was to late to enter the DAAT ride ~x( )

So having been might pissed off that I am missing all this 25 to 30 degree summer weather I am determined that I am going to get on my bike and ride it. So today I did the boring ride of commuting to work.

And what happened?

It started to f**king rain!!!!!!!
Seriously you have got to be kidding me ~x( ~x(

Time to hire out my services to Ethiopia to stop drought.

Not impressed

Did the weather report not warn about the rain today?
Thursday onwards looks safe.

I didn’t even bother looking following the last 2 months of wall to wall sun shine and high temperature I was more thinking about trying to keep cool whilst I was riding. Clearly something that has not been an issue today.

Yup, the weather on Monday surprised me too, as has todays....
As it turned out it only showered twice yesterday but still, like you I was not expecting it and just checked the weather report out of habit.

Sorry. My fault. Taxed & MOT'd both bikes last week for the first time in ages, so the change was inevitable ..... Tbh, I'm surprised we haven't had snow

Rob you know you could have always dropped the tyre up to me and could have swapped it.

But I blame moose anyway.

You're lucky it wasn't raining frogs after riding on a naughty tyre.

Cheers Ian but took the wheel off myself and got it done at The Motorcycle Company for £10 + £5 for old tyre disposal. Then just needed to put the wheel back on make sure it was straight and the chain not too loose or tight.

You paid them a fiver to dispose of a tyre that you would have been changed £2 to tip at the recycling centre around the corner in Brunel Road?
They are nice in there though and take good care of the rims.

I was more getting the vibe you were saying it took this long to get motivated to change the tyre since rttb to get the tyre changed.

And was saying would have done it in an evening after work so could have had a legal tyre fitted a few weeks back.
