Always wanted to move on to a KMX200 after my MTX125 though that the KDX125 looked really cool at the time as well but seem to remember the road versions being really heavily restricted where as the off road versions went like stink

I had an MTX125 like yours Rob.
Had a crappy Yamaha TY50 as a first bike, which I pretty much killed as I wasn't afraid to get the spanners out.. but unfortunately I didn't really know what I was doing, much like most teenagers..
Once I started working I could afford a decent bike so bought the MTX125... then passed my car test and that was that for bikes.

 with a name that includes "settee", where do you think this is going?? :-? x_x =)) =))

(In fairness, Zundapp did make some nice bikes, and the East Germans were at the front of the 2t game in the fifties ......)

The 'settee' is my addition. With that seat and the suspension it was a wee bit bouncy.

About 15 hp...

Never had a 250, the 350 went really well up until the point I seized it trying for a max out going down the hill out of Crewkerne. Two cracked pistons and scored barrels later. Doh!
I do remember it ended up 1.25mm over sized and gutless under 4000rpm. =))

Powerband (ask your parents kids) seemed to go 7-12 and was great fun to play with.
