Mendip Blast

Post by Mr Tuscan »

Thanks to MikeZ for the meet up today in Weston and our blast round the Mendips!
I say blast, it was my first ride out not solo and for me it was a blast, for MikeZ it was a Bible but he kept me in his sights and it was a successful ride and some experience for me, it was bloody hot out though but fantastic blue skies.
Really must do something about wearing leather trousers, they had to be peeled off me once home by the misses, was quite amusing.

Cheers MikeZ see you next time.

Lanes were quiet where we were. Apart from the occasional horse.

at least you've broken you group riding cherry now. Soon you'll be out with 4 and 5s. It's a slippery slope.

The most i've lead on an swb ride is 70. We had a friendly ride a few years back and people were appearing from all over for some reason. That was scary as fook.

I enjoyed the (more steady than my usual) pace today on a nice sunny roll around the Somerset countryside. To be fair to MrT he can already scrape the undercarriage around a corner so i would suggest it's probably the bike that limits him rather than the other way around. Traffic didn't really cause much hindrance until middle of day. I certainly enjoyed it. See you out there again.

Get some base layer legs they're less than £20
Stops leathers sticking. Just got to ignore the fact that you'll look like max wall walking around.
