Westonzolyland always slippery when wet.
Used to do sprints and time trials up there.

Good effort though.
Does sound like your 200sx seems short geared,
Is it a 14a touring?

What's your next plans for it?

Crikey that's going back a while they haven't done sprints for nearly 10 years maybe? Oh ye its super short geared I have fitted a 4.3 diff and shafts from a skyline and stock s14a is 3.7, stock gearing is way too long for drifting though.... I had a 3.9 for a while which was ok but I need the short gearing to get the revs up and hit boost, if I had a proper re-map so it made a bit more power lower down I would probably drop back to a 4.1 ratio as that is probably spot on from all the cars I've been in.

Current plans are just to fix it up, started working on it last night and a bit today at work, straightened the front up a bit. Then just do some more drift days, I would love to get it properly bespoke mapped with a bigger MAF and electronic boost controller as it would probably make 320/330hp but I'm not sure if I am going to try and compete next year and if I don't then I probably don't need to....

Thanks a lot for watching, nice to get some feedback :D

There is a fairly decent guy out near chard for live dyno mapping. 4wd rollers etc etc. Works out of a shed in his back garden.

Mapped up a mates subaru to 600+bhp.
Along with the avcs and injection timing.

Ah so what's that diff from as a 4.3 in a skyline even seems short, unless was an auto box one.
Is it welded or lsd then also?

Sr20det engines are getting harder to find now also.

P.s. cheers for making me feel old with reminding me it was circa 10years ago.
One of the last sprints we did was when dazza put his mk3 golf vr6 backwards into the entrance gate rsj and stoved the whole rear corner in properly.

Ye I used to take people out quite often but last year I took the passenger seat out for the fire extinguisher and battery to live.... Only slightly unsociable =))

Ha ha sorry didn't mean to make you feel old mate, I don't think I ever went to any sprints but my friend Rich used to do some in his MR2, he lives up that way so is very local for him, he is actually the one that got me into drifting up at zoyland, he has a red s13 too but hasn't used it for years! I think zoyland is a crash magnet tbh, small area, no real run off to the outer banks/fence is asking for it! Nice atmosphere up there and pretty cheap so worth it.

Ye it's a welded diff from an auto skyline, if I go to a 4.1 that would be a manual skyline diff. Always ran them welded, proper 1.5/2 way lsd's are very expensive and stock lsd's loosen up from the heat in about 2 laps and don't lock under deceleration so pretty rubbish.

600hp scooby sounds awesome, bet that went well! Do you know the name of that guy's company? There are quite a few people up that way, GBE, Powercrazy motorsport etc, problem is I have a Horsham developments aftermarket chip/map on my ECU so really need to go to them to get it re-mapped or I have to buy another ECU which when you add that on top you are looking at well over a grand whereas a re-map at Horsham is probably more like £600 so difficult decision.

As you say everything is going up in price with older jap stuff so don't want to push the engine/drivetrain too hard and break anything expensive if I can help it especially as the car has been super reliable mechanically.

Steve Edmonds at power crazy used to rally with.
Deals with omex also for a half decent stand alone.

We try to go to simtec ecu for ease after the hassle with alkatec ecus.

Performance vehicle engineering in chard.
https://www.p-v-e.co.uk

600bhp scooby was epic. But for some strange reason 150mph in 5th (6th still to go) wasnt enough so engine has been pulled to be redone as the quest for 800+ is now chasing.
https://youtu.be/H6vcJoWKNU4
Video of it going around silverstone.

I cant wait to get mine built now and chase the 500bhp figures

Sorry Ian forgot to reply, ye lots of options for aftermarket ECU will have to see what happens. When this Covid crap is over you should pop by for a cuppa and a look if you fancy. I always liked a good scooby, my old man had a fair few years ago when he had a garage.

Anyways here's the latest update, starting to work on the front end, made a bit of progress and started to v-log it as I was going along. Tell me what ya think. Cheers

That's the small world of the motor trade. Was in it for 15 years get to know some people and a few things.
Matt smith at volkscraft is a handy boy, does the tracking on Martin's chaser also.
Always love cuppa tea! :-bd

Well this is a picture of my shopping wagon.
Then a picture of pauls 800bhp turbo which did 640bhp on low boost on the left. Then mine 700bhp which should do 500bhp all day long. Then a standard vf34 subaru sti turbo.

That day at Zoyland I did a few laps with Matt, near the end of that video I put in a lap chasing his m3 e36. He was at RDC earlier in the year too, only spoke to him a couple times briefly but he seems a very switched on chap. We have 4 wheel alignment where I work so can mess about with that myself luckily

That stock sti turbo is pretty similar size to what I am running atm lol, those other 2 look very nice! Your not wrong about the motor trade, your car looks spitting image of a guy I used to know called Craig who ran Treads Tyres in Torquay a while back, looks nice!

Yep well it looks very similar as it did have a silly body kit on it and was his I think.
This one came from torquay and was sat up a few years.
Now unfortunately a day at bedford autodrome ran suspected big end bearing and been sat for 2 years.

But ment could save and source parts ready to come back with avengance.
Ie my small and subtle brake upgrade.
