Dry January?

Post by Jug »

So did anyone else wake up on the 1st and decide the wreck their January by giving up the grog?

I use to really look forward to those Friday evenings, having a relaxing pint after a hard weeks work... a hard week, erm well after a week anyway.

..and you don't count billinom8s as you didn't drink alcohol before January. :)):

Don't give it up. Too much of a shock to the system to be healthy.

Dont drink to much beer as it give me gout
Have started to drink Wine when traveling for work but not that regularly.
Actually go months at a time without having any alcohol as normally driving or riding somewhere and don't want to chance my licence.

Chocolate on the other hand is a real issue. We had enough of Christmas to sink a battle ship and most of that ended up in my expanding belly... :-o

Have tried to stop and loose some weight in the new year but not helpful when the wife and daughter are still troffing out :( :-o

I'm trying to go dry for as long as reasonably possible, however I do intend to complete a dry January with 80% gym visits.
