A system restore won't sort the problem, once you click on the site again all you do is infect an earlier clean back up and then at some point in the future when you have forgot all about and you have a different problem, you then do a system restore to now and then have the same problems all over again and if its a particularly nasty sort then it will infect your restore folder as well which is why quite often you have to disable system restore or even delete all previous restore points and then get your antivirus to sort it out and start again from scratch. :)

If your not using either Kaspersky or Norton, Jump to either of the following for a scan:

http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/virusscanner

http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/WelcomePage.asp

Which software are you using for protection?

Did you scan your system on one of the links i provided? Once you've ruled out any unwanted 'software' then we can look at any other possible causes of your problem.

AVG has a bad record for detection, throwing up a lot of false positives. If you dont want to pay, Try Avast antivirus.

Anti-virus software on it's own wont stop you getting infected, I'm currently using Ad-aware (free),
Spybot search and Destroy (free), And Spyware Blaster (free) on top of Avast.
