Slovakring

Post by 50something »

Hi everybody

I can see there has been some interest in track days on here and what with the latest issues with COVID-19, it has somewhat hampered things. I see there is one to portugal in a few weeks but what with COVID-19 and now Portugal has been added to the long list of countries that requires Mandatory 14 day lockdown on return, I suspect this is also going to stop a lot of people doing this one?
However, I’ve been looking at that No Limits website and looked at the Slovakring. Nobody seems to have been to Slovakia and it seems to be one of the countries thats very safe. I suspect because it’s got a low population and low tourism l,its not at high risk.
Ive been doing a little bit of looking on the Internet And the Slovakring is apparently the best in Europe, or so all the reviews say, so I’m looking at going possibly next year in June.
what are peoples thoughts on this track and what interest is there likely to be?

The dates are 25th - 27th June £629.

I also see that there is a track in the czech Republic, Brno, is also in June on 21st - 23rd June with a £150 discount if you take them both as a weeks jaunt!!

Suspect thats a tiring 6 days

However Slovakia seems a nice one and im well informed by a Slovakian that at that time of year its in the 30’s possibly high 30’s so plenty of sun screen

Looks a great track - but 'Ring' - nah.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?
