Cartagena May 13, 14, 15th 2016

Post by billinom8s »

I have been asked to put this outing up on here by some of the less keyboard friendly members.

It's to see if there is interest in going and playing in the Spanish sun next May.

It's being run through No Limits Trackday organisers.

It is advertised at £369 and that includes your 3 Days on track, Bike transport there and back and 3 nights in the hotel.

I don't know anything more at this stage, I'm not organising it and depending on operation recovery won't be going.

There you go.

Sounds exciting... Off to the Pyrenees later in May so undecided at this point though probably looking at a no to be honest

This recently got brought to our attention and does seem like a good shout for a bit of early year track time enjoying a euro. (And for sensible money)

I need to check time off with work first but would like to try this.

So lists (as everyone loves a good list)

1 boylard100
2 doughballz

Like the sound of this.
Is it suitable for novice riders? I'm wanting to go this but feel I need more uk track time to make it worth while (build confidence)

A couple of us that have recently come back from portimao have only done a couple of UK track days, (doughballz on here has only done llandow and silverstone before going out there)

As long as your half competent then it will be great for you as 3 days on the same track is such a confidence boost.
Same as doesn't even matter what you ride as most people are fully aware and capable at riding around you if faster.

i wouldn't worry about it stu, just go along as you are and enjoy it for the experience. Last year Mr Moo went a long and it was only his second trackday.

don't go with any desires to set lap records, just treat it as a holiday where you get to play bike stuff and you will be fine.

This was my first track day after a 50yr gap in riding and I found it OK in novice group. I don't think it is the easiest to ride as unlike most circuits which have a straight before a corner several fast bends lead into slow corners so you have to brake whilst leaning. It took several sessions before I could remember where I was on the circuit.

Someone I know has just done her first Euro trackday there this weekend with No Limits and has had a great time ...... Said it seems quite a "technical" track, but great fun :)
