Shammy.... the one time I book a track day and its the only one your not doing =((

Just kidding this one fitted the diary and also been talking to Red5 and Shooey about going. I am sure our many trips to Oulton Park will be more then enough for this year :-h

Ok so this is the first time that I have been to Donington on a track day and have to say that I was impressed. The facilities put it on par with Silverstone or Oulton and the track its self is a great track and takes some learning. The thing that I found most difficult about it was some of the bends are blind so you need to get to know where you are heading before you can attack it with some confidence. Not sure I would now call this my favorite track but I would call it a great track and will be looking to head back here again next year along with Oulton and Cadwell.

As normal I did vids of all of the session and my internet has been working hard to upload them to you tube. By far the best session of the day was the last one. I had a great battle first with a BMW1000RR and once I managed to pass him then battled with a ZX10 and manged to get him too. Not bad for a Triumph 765 :-bd This last session I also did my best lap time .......twice a 1:55. however on watching the vid back it is clear that I was in the wrong gear out of some of the slow corners and could have made some better overtakes and pulled back more time had I been in the right gear.

Lots to work on next time I visit....... 8-}

Anyway check out 7th session.

Glad you enjoyed it.

765 sounds lovely. I’d agree on the gears out the slower corners, you need more of an angry triumph! Are you making full use of autoblipper now...couldn’t hear that on video, that’s a lovely noise too 😂

They are more than capable of nice little battles with the 1000’s 😉

Was the first time at Donington so spent half the day learning the track. Rather then focusing on improving, but need to sort out my gearing on track. Hence have Matt booked for next month.....
